Wisdom in Proverbs 8 has nothing to do with the Holy Spirit, but WISDOM is a Gnostic false god which you should not follow.
Sophia is the Greek word for wisdom. Wisdom is an attribute of Ahayah. Wisdom is not the Holy Spirit, as some people mistakenly claim. Wisdom is the personal application of the Scriptures to one's life.
“Sophia (σοφία, Greek for *wisdom*) is a central idea in Hellenistic philosophy and religion, Platonism, Gnosticism, Orthodox Christianity, Esoteric Christianity, as well as Christian mysticism. Sophiology is a philosophical concept regarding wisdom, as well as a theological concept regarding the wisdom of the biblical God.
Sophia is honored as a goddess of wisdom by Gnostics, as well as by some Neopagan, New Age, and feminist-inspired Goddess spirituality groups. In Orthodox and Roman Catholic Christianity, Sophia, or rather Hagia Sophia (Holy Wisdom), is an expression of understanding for the second person of the Holy Trinity, (as in the dedication of the church of Hagia Sophia in Istanbul) as well as in the Old Testament, as seen in the Book of Proverbs 9:1, but not an angel or goddess." [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sophia_%28wisdom%29]
*Sophia/wisdom* is not a spirit of God, nor the Holy Spirit of God, those who make this claim are perpetuating false unbiblical doctrine. Sophia/wisdom has nothing to do with the Holy Spirit, Who is a Person of the eternal Godhead. Sophia is the*pagan* goddess of wisdom. In Proverbs, Solomon writes in parable form using *wisdom* and *folly* as to contrasting symbolic women to get his point across. They are not entities. The main subject throughout Proverbs is true wisdom which only comes from God. The word wisdom and the words describing the mental attributes of wisdom, which are instruction, understanding, knowledge, discretion, learning and wise councils are used more times throughout the book of Proverbs than in any other place in the Bible.
The *spirit of wisdom* is not speaking of an individual spirit. All wisdom is from God. The Scriptures tell us that *The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and Knowledge.* (Ps 111:10; Pro 1:7; 9:10) Joshua was given wisdom from Ahayah through the anointing of the Holy Spirit in Deut 34:9.
There are a lot of words that are feminine in nature that does not mean they are entities. Ahayah does not have a bunch of spirits that He gives names to, that is not scriptural. Ahayah works through the Messiah Yasha and the Holy Spirit alone. The only other spirits are demonic.
There is ONE God Ahayah who exists in three eternal persons, God the Father, The Word made flesh - YASHA is the second person of the Godhead and The Holy Spirit, Who is a *He* according to Scripture is the third person of the Godhead, there are no others and they are ONE echad! It makes no difference what Greek thought is, what matters is what God says in His written Word. Wisdom is a character trait of Ahayah not a separate entity or spirit and is not another name for the Holy Spirit as perceived in New Age Religions. There is no female counterpart to Ahayah.
[Proverbs 8:22-23 ]
These verses tell us that AHAYAH'S wisdom has always existed. In these verses AHAYAH'S wisdom is personified, but wisdom itself is not a person. Wisdom does not exist outside of AHAYAH; wisdom is a manifestation of His character and nature. Unlike pagan gods, AHAYAH needs no outside advisor to give Him directives. YASHA is the height of AHAYAH'S wisdom.
